Confluence Beer, Wine, Seafood & Music Festival

Posted by OCVA / February 17, 2013

Food-fare flows, Reedsport’s rockin’, and you are invited! 2013 Confluence Wine, Beer, Seafood and Music Festival is happening this weekend, Saturday and Sunday; February 16, 11am-10pm and February 17, 11am-7pm.  Don’t miss the chance to check out the collaboration of talented and experienced musicians from around the area.  Six great bands on the KCBY stage including the Jim Mesi Band with Portland’s hottest guitar player; Agents of Unity; Border Patrol country band, The Essentials R&B show band, and Soul Vaccination classic R&B dance music with horns and Vicky Stevens.  Over 30 vendors, including Pacific NW breweries and 9 Oregon wineries.  Fans come from miles around to enjoy the rare Umpqua Aquaculture oysters, only grown in the “triangle” at Winchester Bay. These oysters are planted on long lines and never touch the sandy ocean floor. Best served raw, according to purists, they will be served at Confluence as raw “shooters” with a dab of cocktail sauce, lemon juice or a shake of hot pepper sauce.  If you prefer sautéed, or fried, it’s your choice.  Pick your favorite, or enjoy them all and indulge!  To wash it all down, try an ice cold beer from one of our sponsors Ninkasi or other bubbly brews.  How about a nice wine from one of the fabulous Oregon wineries?  New convenient location in downtown Reedsport, 451 Winchester Ave.  Easy access and plenty of parking.  Your hips are gonna be shakin’, your bones will be quakin’, your toes a tappin’ and your fingers snappin’ at Confluence 2013.  Must be 21 and older, admission is $10/person/day, and tickets will be available at the door.
