Hands-on Pickling & Canning Part 1

This class, featuring Linda Ziedrich, author of The Joy of Pickling, will cover the basics of pickling both by brining (fermenting) and by using vinegar. We’ll pickle cucumbers both ways and also make dilly beans and peach chutney. We’ll do water-bath canning, using both boiling water and the low-temperature method, and you’ll take home jars of your own pickles.
