Wheeling Around Seaside

Posted by OCVA / July 23, 2009

From bike and surrey rentals to beach cycles and scooters, Seaside offers plenty of opportunities to have some “wheel” fun!  Bring your own or rent from a local merchant.  The Visitors Bureau has local trail information for all skill levels for cyclists who would like to ride through the scenic hills that surround Seaside.  Skateboarders can carve, ollie, kickflip and grind in the state-of-art facility at the Seaside Skate and Ride in Broadway Park.  The Park is open from dawn to 10pm without fee or age limit.  Allowable wheels are skateboards, inline skates, scooters, wheelchairs and BMX without pegs.

For those with mobility issues, Seaside’s 1.8 mile sidewalk “The Prom” offers dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean and Tillamook Head and also offers handicap access to the beach.  Additionally, electric wheel chair-scooter types are available for rent.  www.seasideor.com
