Exceptional Attitude and Service

I would like to tell you of the outstanding service we received on the southern Oregon coast. My family and I drove down to Bandon and were pleasantly surprised when we were treated with such great attitude and service, that we will continue to return for years to come, and will tell our family and friends.

Let me start by telling you a little bit about our situation. My parents care for my older brother who is in a wheelchair and is both mentally and physically handicapped. He is 32 years old but has the mentality of a 3-4 year old. It can be hard for us to get around. I’m sure you are aware there are not a lot of wheelchair accessible places along the coast, so we are limited in what we can do or even in where we can go. We have encountered many different levels of service along the coast from people going out of their way to people being incredibly rude to us. We don’t ask for any special treatment just to be given the same respect that you would give to others.

On our latest trip we stopped at the West Coast Game Park in Bandon. We arrived just in time to see the baby animals come out. We got in line to wait our turn, but the girl working with the animals brought us up to the front of the line. We did not ask for this special treatment but she insisted upon it. She gave my brother her undivided attention, like he was the only one there. She helped him hold the animals, helped him bottle feed the animals, and made him feel very special.

This may not seem like exceptional or even quality service to most people but to us it was exceptional! Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
