Hues of Glass at the Coast Inn

Posted by Loretta of Winter Garden, FL / September 24, 2008

Along Oregon’s breathtaking coast, is a host of lodging accommodations for the weary traveler. A unique Bed & Breakfast offers guests more than a comfortable bed, a hot shower and mouthwatering food, Coast Inn Bed & Breakfast.

Rosie, the innkeeper, offers glass fusion classes to her guests. Learn the basics of glass design and technique and take home two glass coasters. Colored glass pieces jigsaw together and sandwiched between two slices of clear glass then fused together. From the abstract to patterns, guests and local residents can design their own coasters, waves, pulls or trivets, in bright hues or earthy tones.

From passive to aggressive activities; kayak or paddleboat on Devils Lake, deep sea fish out of Depoe Bay, check out the jellyfish at Oregon Coast Aquarium, hike the trails at Cascade Head Scenic Research area, surf, windsurf or kiteboard; enjoy live performances at Theatre West, observe glass-blowing at Alder House III on Immonen Road, browse for books at Robert’s Books or peruse the antique malls in Lincoln City. Whatever your pleasure, you’re welcome to relax and enjoy yourself while in Lincoln City, beachcomb along the coast in Oregon. Lincoln City is on the 45th Parallel – halfway between the equator and the North Pole.

Rosie’s Inn, is an artistic decor of a Craftsman-style home, circa 1939. This lovely inn showcases beautiful quilts, with soft, soothing colors and patterns which adorn tastefully decorated rooms. Her inn can comfortably accommodate up to twelve people, which can be booked for small conferences and retreats. Additional guests rooms at nearby bed and breakfast.
